I've finally graduated! Last Friday, Matt, my parents and I trundled up to university for my graduation. When I'd thought about my graduation previously, I'd been more excited about going out with my parents afterwards. However, when I was sat there, in the really grand Whitworth Hall, it felt really different to how I'd expected. Surrounded by my classmates, with the organ music in the background, I felt a lump in my throat and had to stop myself from being really emotional. I could really feel how proud my family were of me, and it felt so strange to be ending education in such a special way. I worked so hard over the last three years, and I'm so proud that I've finished university now!

We all went to various bars then ended up at The Grill on New York Street, which is by far one of my favourite restaurants! My rib eye was deliciously tender and I wolfed it all down like the greedy pig I am! I actually enjoyed my graduation more than I did my 21st, it was just so nice to have my parents to myself and to spend time with them - as I've got older I have really started to appreciate their time.

Indoor picnic.
Graduation flowers from my parents - peonies and spray.
On Saturday we met them for a drink in St Ann's square, then headed back for an indoor picnic as we (Matt) wanted to watch the Tour De France! I wasn't complaining though, this weekend has really taken it out of me and I spent most of Sunday feeling really run down. Saturday afternoon I could barely keep my eyes open and ended up sleeping on the floor for most of the afternoon! I'm going to have to suck it up and get on with it though as our weekends are jam packed until the end of August now!

What did you get up to this weekend?
