|Dr. Jart Platinum BB Beauty Balm, £22 here.|
Having shared my thoughts on the Dr. Jart Waterfuse and Regenerating BB Balms, chances are you're already aware of my love for Dr. Jart. The quality of the products is really reflected in the price, and I look forward to using them. Today's product up for scrutiny is the platinum balm, Dr. Jart's offering aimed at those over 30, but I thought I'd give it a go as it claims to offer more coverage than the other two balms I've tried. I often find that products aimed at 30+ skin have positive qualities for my skin, as they usually have a lot more moisture!
I really like the Platinum balm (and am aware I've skipped the premium balm), it seems that the texture of these balms gets slightly waxier and thicker with the more coverage they offer. It doesn't feel as light as some bb creams I've tried before, the Waterfuse for example, but it gives a really great finish.
I like how lifting it is, and it just seems to give my skin a bit of a boost. It's high spf means that it would be perfect for the summer months/holiday coverage. Whilst it is priced at £22, I think it is well worth the money. You get 50ml in a bottle and only need about two pea sized amounts to cover your face so you get a lot of product per penny!
Taking a little bit longer to blend than the Waterfuse, it isn't my first choice, but the colour is a nice match and it leaves my skin looking healthy. Unlike the Waterfuse, I find that because this has more coverage I'm not reaching for my concealer, and am really favouring barely-there make-up most of the time.
It is safe to say the platinum balm has impressed me so far!
