The Beauty Box: Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers

I've been lusting after these Shu Uemura eyelash curlers forever. They're a well known beauty must-have that probably most of you will have heard about at some point!

Curling lashes can have such a massive difference to your make-up. Bright, wide-eyes can make you look a whole lot more awake and fresh faced. These bad boys are £20 (here), and I got mine from House of Fraser. After having spent way too much money on lots of different brands of curler, I'm glad I've finally found a pair that are worth the money! They feel really sturdy, and come with one spare pad.

My lashes are fairly long, something I feel I shouldn't complain about but it is really hard to get a proper curl on them as they like to remain poker straight. The Shu Uemura eyelash curlers were initially created with Asian hair in mind, which is typically thicker - meaning that it is really effective at creating a long-lasting curl on even the most stubborn of lashes. The shape also means it fits really well into the curve of the eye, fitting all the lashes into one squeeze, and insuring each lash is finely curled and flicked up towards the brow bone.

If you've not got your hands on these eyelash curlers, I'd really recommend them. They're totally worth the money and I'm so glad that I now have lashes that manage to wrestle with my reluctant lashes! If you want to see before/after images - keep an eye out for my next FOTD post.

  1. These do sound fantastic, I always feel sceptical though and question if I need them at all as my eyelashes are really long already. Even the cheap £1.99 Natural Collection mascara adds enough volume really, I never need much. I can see me getting them one day though out of sheer curiosity :P

    1. Ahh yeah, the thing is I have really long lashes and have tried all sorts of cheaper curlers and not had much luck with getting a curl. This is the only thing that holds it all day! xx

  2. I've been wondering whether to invest in some eyelash curlers for ages! I'd be really interested to see a couple of pictures before and after you've used them! :)

    1. I need to pop some up! I did take some but they were too zoomed in! Will be sure to include some in a face of the day post soon x

  3. This is my favourite eyelash curler too! I can't imagine my everyday makeup without it!
