The Beauty Box: A-Derma Sensifluid Cleansing Lotion

A-Derma Sensifluid Cleaning Lotion £6.25

The staple cleansing lotion in my routine since I first started wearing make-up was the Simple Cleansing Lotion. At £2.99, the cleanser was cheaper than the A-Derma one but sometimes left my skin feeling dry. Although it did a good job of cleansing my skin free of make-up and daily grime, I felt like it was a bit of a 'meh' product, and having got into some seriously nice skincare last year, I fancied a change.

The A-derma lotion caught my eye because of it's sensitive skin credentials. A-derma products have an ingredient in them called Rhealba oat seedling extracts, which are renowned for their soothing and anti-irritating properties. As a brand they also claim that their products repair, nourish and hydrate the skin. They're also anti free radicals which is good news for those sensitive skinned ones among us.

Although the cleansing lotion doesn't need to be washed off, it is the first stage in my skincare routine. However, should you be one of those minimalists that likes to cleanse and head to bed, you wouldn't need to worry about washing this off.

It has a wonderful milky texture which sits on (rather than sinks in) to cotton wool, grabbing all traces of make-up and daily grime from all over your face including your eyes, lips and skin. Personally I found that if the product got into my eyes it stung a little bit, but is really effective in removing stubborn mascara without irritating the eczema I often get on my eyelids.

It's formulation is perfect for anyone with really sensitive skin, as it contains emollients to moisturise the skin, and lots of vitamin e. If you want to learn more about A-Derma check them out here and if you want to get your hands on the cleansing lotion, I'd recommend Boots, here.
